Salem Man Arrested After Alleged Drug Deal in Massachusetts

Plain-clothes detectives witnessed the deal, police said.

A Salem man and two Billerica, Massachusetts, women were arrested at about 10 a.m. Saturday after plain-clothes detectives allegedly witnessed them complete a drug deal involving heroin and cocaine in the Home Depot parking lot on Mystic Avenue in Somerville, Massachusetts.

Detectives were staking out the area, as the parking lot is a known narcotics “hot spot,” according to police. In addition to past deals and arrests, several heroin-related overdoses have occurred in parked motor vehicles in the lot, police said.
