Salem Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges: Log

Plus, police arrest Derry man on drug charges, Mass. man arrested on driving and other charges, and overdose reported at Walmart.

Matthew J. Castricone, 27, of East Broadway in Salem, was arrested at 12:58 p.m. on Oct. 15, 2015, on six counts of child sex abuse image (bring to NH) and a single count of computer services: use prohibited, second offense, for a child under 13. He was arrested at home after FBI and New Hampshire’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force raided his house. Castricone was held on $50,000 cash bail.

Wesley Williamson, 38, of Derry, was arrested at 5:08 p.m. on Oct. 15, for transporting drugs in a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled drug (marijuana/hashish, less than 5 grams), and traffic control device violation. He was arrested at the police department and then released on a summons.

Jorge Furtado, 40, of East Border Road in Malden, MA, was arrested at 5:21 p.m. on Oct. 15, for driving after revocation or suspension and false report to law enforcement. Officers were sent to the Salem Plaza on South Broadway for a report of a white Nissan with a Mass. plate “operating recklessly” in the parking lot. When they arrived, the subject “took off running” toward BJ’s Wholesale Club and was later arrested. Furtado was released on $500 cash bail.

At 9:31 p.m. on Oct. 15, police took a report of an overdose in the Walmart restroom. A woman was unconscious and later, refused transport.
