Salem Man, Teens Arrested On Obstruction, Resisting, Other Charges: Police Log

SALEM, NH — Nicole Marie Eaton, 39, of Columbus Avenue in Haverhill, Massachusetts, was arrested on a willful concealment-theft charge at 4:56 p.m. on Feb. 21, 2023. She was arrested after being accused of shoplifting at Macy’s on Rockingham Park Boulevard.

Mercyene Adeniyi, 38, of Cluff Crossing Road in Salem was arrested at 11:04 a.m. on Feb. 21 on an operating without a valid license charge after a motor vehicle stop on Brook Road.

Gill Joseph Rodrigue, 45, of Muse Terrace in Salem was arrested at 10:49 a.m. on Feb. 21 on driving after revocation or suspension, disobeying an officer, obstruct government administration, and resisting arrest charges. A 17-year-old was also arrested on obstruct government administration, disorderly conduct, simple assault, and resisting arrest charges as well as a possession-use of tobacco product by a minor. A 16-year-old was also arrested on obstruct government administration, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest charges. They were arrested after a search warrant was executed on Bluff Street and a K-9 unit was brough in to sweep the area.

On Main Street, at 8:59 a.m. on Feb. 20, police went to Main Street to investigate a claim that a heavyset white man, standing outside a maroon sedan, had his pants around his ankles and was masturbating.

Marieangelie Torres, 22, of Birchwood Road in Methuen, MA, was arrested at 1:13 a.m. on Feb. 20 on a driving under the influence charge. She was arrested after a motor vehicle on Central Street. A sober passenger took the vehicle after the arrest.

Ian Joseph Kessel, 26, of Westerdale Avenue in Salem was arrested at 4:36 p.m. on Feb. 10 on a disorderly conduct charge. He was arrested on a warrant.

A 34-year-old man died of an overdose at the Park View Inn on South Broadway in Salem at 9:19 a.m. on Feb. 10.

Jason Verge, 50, of Laurel Street in Chelsea, MA, was arrested at 2:51 p.m. on Feb. 9 on a driving under the influence charge. Police were sent to Chipotle on South Village Drive for a report of a fight. One man left the area and was accused of being intoxicated. The vehicle, a Ford Escape, was found driving around 40 mph on Interstate 93 south with a directional light on like it was going to pull over but did not, police said. The vehicle was stopped just before the Massachusetts border.

Edward R. Whitney, 44, of Marshalls Way in Lawrence, MA, was arrested at 10:36 a.m. on Feb. 9 on a bail jumping charge. He was arrested in Salem District Court on a warrant and held without bail.

Shermarke A. Duale, 29, of Hammond Street in Boston, MA, was arrested at 9:06 a.m. on Feb. 9 on a bail jumping charge and a bench warrant. He was arrested at the Norfolk County Jail.
