Salem To Mark New Police Department Opening With Chamber Ribbon Cutting
Gov. Kelly Ayotte is expected to join community leaders, police department members and residents in Salem on Oct. 14.

SALEM, NH — The Southern New Hampshire Chamber of Commerce is planning a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Salem Police Department, with Gov. Kelly Ayotte expected to attend.
The event is scheduled 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 9 Veteran’s Memorial Parkway.
The Chamber said the ceremony will honor the new police department and bring together community leaders, members of the Salem Police Department, and local residents.

The Chamber said the ribbon-cutting was an opportunity for the community to come together, celebrate this important addition to Salem, and recognize the dedication of the officers and staff who serve the community every day. The Chamber also said attendees will have the opportunity to meet members of the Salem Police Department and connect with community leaders during the event.
Ayotte will be joined by community leaders, police department members, and residents. The Chamber is also inviting businesses, community members, local leaders, and residents to attend.

The Chamber said it works to support, connect, and advocate for businesses across the region while fostering a strong local community. According to the release, that work includes networking, events, advocacy, and community partnerships to help businesses and organizations build relationships and grow.
