Salem Microsoft Store Opens Tomorrow

The Mall at Rockingham Park is holding the grand opening of its new Microsoft store Saturday morning with a celebration lasting through the night.

According to the store's website, the grand opening ceremonies will take place at 10:30 a.m. with the store opening at 11 a.m.

This is the first Microsoft retail store opening in New Hampshire, according to the mall's Facebook page for the event.

At 5 p.m., gates will open for a concert to take place at the mall near the store featuring two popular rock bands, O.A.R. and Young the Giant. The concert is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

The first 200 people in line for the Microsoft opening on Saturday, September 29, will receive two complimentary premier viewing wristbands for the O.A.R. and Young the Giant performance that evening. One wristband grants the recipient admission to both the performance and the meet and greet with O.A.R. after the show. The second wristband grants another person admission to the concert only. The next 1,500 people in line, at minimum, will receive two premier viewing wristbands to the O.A.R. and Young the Giant performance. From computers and software to games, music and phones, customers will have access to it all at Microsoft. The Microsoftretail store offers an edited assortment of best-in-class products, including Windows 7 PCs, Windows Phones, Kinect for Xbox 360, Office 2010 and more. Customers can learn new technology skills in the store’s theater space and work with employees for personalized PC setup and training, and small business owners have a local resource for all of their IT and business needs. Microsoft will be located on Level 1 near Lord & Taylor.
