Salem Primary Election: Polls Open 7 A.M.-7 P.M.

Salem NH primary voting is September 11, 2018. Voters will elect candidates for governor, Congress and the State House.

SALEM, NH — Salem voters will hit the polls Tuesday for the state primary and at the top of the ticket are a gubernatorial race and congressional contest. On the local side, voters will choose nine Democratic and nine Republican state representative candidates. There are 10 Democrats and 14 Republicans running for those seats.

In the gubernatorial primary, former State Senator Molly Kelly is up against Portsmouth Mayor Steve Marchand. Current Governor Chris Sununu is running unopposed on the Republican side.

U.S. Representative Ann Kuster, a Democrat from Concord, is running unopposed as she seeks re-election to Congress representing New Hampshire's Second District. There are seven candidates seeking the Republican nomination.

Salem polls will be open for voting Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the town's six voting wards. Find your Salem voting ward based on your street (PDF file).

Republicans currently hold the governor's office, Senate and House in New Hampshire. The general election is November 6.
