Salem Police Find ATM Skimmers

The department is investigating four devices that have been found recently – and maybe others. They advise to monitor your transactions.

SALEM, NH — The Salem Police Department are investigating two skimming device incidents found at locations in town, all of them at gas pumps, according to Capt. Joel Dolan of the Salem Police Department. Two of the skimmers were found at Super Petroleum on South Broadway and two were found at Dusty’s Citgo on Pelham Road.

“It is unknown at this time if more devices have been placed at other locations,” he said in a press alert. “It is also unknown how long these devices may have been in place.”

Dolan is asking customers who may have frequented those gas stations locations to monitor their credit and debit cards for any suspicious transactions. If any customers see a suspicious device on a gas pump, police recommend avoid using the pump and call the Salem Police Department immediately.
