SALEM, NH — Police in Salem suspect that a man who robbed a candy store Friday is the same person who robbed a gas station Monday night, according to an alert. At just before 8:15 p.m., police were sent to Klemm's Mobil on Pleasant Street for an armed robbery report. According to a store clerk, the suspect brandished a small firearm, demanded money, and fled the store.

The department's K-9 unit was called in, Deputy Chief Joel Dolan of the Salem Police Department, and it tracked the suspect to the rear of an apartment building on South Policy Street.

"A subsequent canvassing of the area was unsuccessful," Dolan said, adding that investigators believe the same man involved in this incident is also the suspect sought in the armed robbery of Pearl’s Candy and Nuts on South Broadway that occurred Friday.
