Salem Police Log: Dick's Employees Arrested for Theft

Plus, woman arrested for conduct after an accident and an overdose is reported on Granite Avenue.

Andrew J. Descoteaux, 30, of Main Street in Plaistow, was arrested at 1:28 p.m. on Nov. 2, 2015, for willful concealment at Lowes on South Broadway. He was later released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail.

Police and Fire and Rescue teams were sent to Granite Avenue at 8:19 p.m. on Nov. 2, for a 20-year-old woman who overdosed.

Robert D. Taylor, 49, of Cluff Road in Salem, was arrested at 9:26 a.m. on Nov. 3, for simple assault-domestic violence. Police were sent to Cluff Road for a report of an argument between a father and daughter. Police alleged that it was physical between both parties and they were separated. Taylor was later arrested.

Paola Batista, 20, of High Street in Lawrence, MA, was arrested at 9:02 p.m. on Nov. 4, for theft by deception (over $1,501). Also arrested was Arlines G. Torres, 19, of Howard Street in Lawrence, MA, was arrested for criminal trespass and theft by deception (over $1,501). Police were sent to Dick’s Sporting Goods on Rockingham Park Boulevard to speak with a store manager who alleged that two employees were stealing from the store. Both Batista and Torres were held on cash bail.

Wesley M. Mansir, 25, of Quill in Newburyport, MA, was arrested at 10:26 p.m. on Nov. 3, for possession of a controlled drug (heroin/crack, less than 1 gram), arrest on a warrant, and a false report to law enforcement. Officers were sent to Burger King on South Broadway for an employee reporting that two subjects entered the restaurant 30 minutes before and one had been in the bathroom the entire time. Mansir was arrested and held on $2,500 cash bail.

Ilian Moujaes, 21, of Kayla Avenue in Salem, was arrested at 11:02 p.m. on Nov. 3, for conduct after an accident. She turned herself in on a warrant.
