Salem Police Log: Man Arrested for Assault, Resisting

Plus, Chester man arrested for forgery and Raymond man arrested for theft.

Jason D. Gilbert, 39, of Elmwood Avenue in Salem, was arrested at 10:37 p.m. on Nov. 15, 2015, on two counts of simple assault, domestic violence-simple assault, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest or detention. Police were sent to Elmwood Avenue for a woman reporting that her husband was “drunk and being disruptive in side the house,” according to a report. “She stated he awoke her out of a sound sleep and was pouncing on her.” Gilbert was later arrested.

Christopher Ellsworth, 41, of Coburn Street in Salem, was arrested at 3:36 p.m. on Nov. 17, on a bench warrant and theft by deception (under $1,000). Police were sent to the Home Depot on South Broadway for a report of a subject complaining of chest pains. The man, Ellsworth, was later transported to Parkland Medical. He had a bench warrant out of Franklin Court.

Juan A. Amador, 26, of Evelyn Noyes Lane in Chester, was arrested at 4:02 p.m. on Nov. 18, for forgery and receiving stolen property ($1,501+). He was arrested on a warrant and released on personal recognizance bail.

Christopher D. Daly, 29, of Lemon Tree Road in Raymond, was arrested at 4:33 p.m. on Nov. 18, for theft by deception ($1,501+). He was arrested on a warrant and released on personal recognizance bail.
