Salem Police Log: Man Banging on Apartment Doors Arrested

Plus, man calls police, reports that a "secret window" has opened in his home; Mass. woman bagged for DUI.

Incidents

  • 9:57 p.m. on Aug. 19, 2015: A caller on South Policy Street reported to police that someone was inside his home since items were missing. “A secret window has opened,” he stated, adding that his phone has been compromised and his cellphone charger was not working.

Arrests

Jenna L. Colon, 41, of Railroad Street in Lawrence, MA, was arrested at 12:13 a.m. on Aug. 20, 2015, for willful concealment and false report to law enforcement. She was arrested at the CVS on South Broadway.

Brandon McQuaid, 25, of Main Street in Salem, was arrested at 4:37 a.m. on Aug. 20, and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing. Police were called to Main Street for a complaint about a man banging on apartment doors at around 3:45 a.m. The caller complained that it was an ongoing issue. Officers spoke to the subject and found that he was banging on his own door trying to fix it. Less than an hour later, the caller reported to police that the man was again banging on doors and this time, he was his door he was banging on. The officers showed up and arrested McQuaid.

Kristina M. Tranfaglia, 25, of Chestnut Street in Lynn, MA, was arrested at 4:40 a.m. on Aug. 20, and charged with DUI-impairment and negligent driving. An officer attempted to stop a vehicle on Rockingham Park Boulevard that crossed over the boulevard in the wrong direction. The vehicle was stopped in front of Bickford’s. The driver, Tranfaglia, was given a field sobriety text and then arrested.
