Salem Police Log: Sex Offender Arrested for Sexual Assault
Plus, teen fingered for burglaries and another man reportedly injures his leg kicking in a glass door on North Broadway.

Alicia Ross, 19, of Old Coach Road in Atkinson, was arrested at 9:14 a.m. on Sept. 9, 2015, on a theft of lost/mislaid property charge. She turned herself in on a warrant and was released with a summons.

Jason S. Fowler, 46, of North Broadway in Salem, was arrested at 8:39 p.m. on Sept. 10, for domestic violence-simple assault and simple assault. Officers were sent to North Broadway where a man reportedly kicked out a glass door and had multiple injuries on his legs. Salem Fire and Rescue teams were sent to the location where the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute. The man, Fowler, was arrested and transported to Parkland Medical Center.

Jennifer A. Shea, 28, of Broadway in Lynnfield, MA, was taken into protective custody at 12:09 a.m. on Sept. 11. Police were called to Braemoor Woods Road for a man reporting this his son’s girlfriend was intoxicated, was asked to leave, and refused. “(The caller) stated she is yelling and disturbing the neighbors,” according to the report. Shea, the woman, was later taken into custody and transported to Brentwood.
A 17-year-old was arrested at 11:58 a.m. on Sept. 11, for burglary, unlawful possession/intoxication, and possession/use of tobacco products by a minor. A caller asked for assistance on Meisner Circle after a man was trying to get into her apartment. She believed she scared him of and reported him walking down the hall. Officers took the description of the man and later, located him near a library. They also checked the rear of St. David’s for the suspect’s vehicle. The teen was arrested and later, released to a parent.

Kevin McManus, 61, pictured, of Princess Drive in Salem, was arrested at 2:34 p.m. on Sept. 11, for sexual assault. He turned himself in on a warrant. McManus is a registered sex offender who was convicted on two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault on a victim under 18 in May 1995.
A 17-year-old was arrested at 6:13 p.m. on Sept. 11, for burglary, unlawful possession/intoxication, and possession/use of tobacco products by a minor. An officer was sent to Meisner Circle to investigate a second burglary incident.
