Salem Police Seek Assistance IDing Armed Robbery Suspect

The Gulf gas station on South Broadway was robbed on Friday morning. The Salem Police Department is seeking tips to solve the case.

SALEM, NH — Police in Salem are investigating an armed robbery incident at a local gas station on Friday morning and asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect. At around 7:45 a.m. on April 26, 2019, officers were called to the Gulf gas station on South Broadway for a report of a robbery. When they arrived, officers learned that a man brandished a black pistol, demanded money from the store clerk, and fled the scene.

The perp got away with an undisclosed amount of cash but no one was injured during the incident.

The suspect was male and wearing a mask that covered the bottom half of his face, according to Capt. Joel Dolan of the Salem Police Department. He was also wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt with white drawstrings, black sweatpants, and black sneakers.

Salem police called in a K-9 unit and attempted to track the suspect after the incident, Dolan added.
