Katelyn Castine charged with assault and domestic violence after incident on South Main Street.

A woman is scheduled to be arraigned in court later this month after she allegedly assaulted her boyfriend on South Main Street in Concord in late February, according to an arrest report.

Katelyn M. Castine, 26, of Main Street in Salem, was arrested at 9:20 p.m. on Feb. 26, 2015, and charged with assault and domestic violence-assault.

Officers were called to a report of a domestic disturbance between a couple where the woman reportedly struck her boyfriend at just before 9 p.m.

At the scene, a woman pointed to a white Nissan and told the reporting officer it was attempting to leave the scene. The officer saw the vehicle trying to back out of the driveway and stopped it. The driver, Castine, “was visibly upset and was crying,” and said she had just gotten into an argument with her boyfriend. She reportedly stated that the two were fighting and he went to call his parents on a cellphone. Castine allegedly told the officer that while he was doing this, she slapped the phone out of his hands and pushed him. When asked where he pushed him, she reportedly stated, “In the chest.”

Another officer spoke with the man and he gave the same story and Castine was arrested. She was processed and released on $4,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on April 13.

“Throughout my interaction with Castine, she was polite and cooperative,” the officer reported.

Later, officers were sent back to the home for a civil standby so she could pick up some belongings and a dog, according to the report.
