School Board Accepts Eight Teacher Retirements
Longest-tenured of group is longtime SHS business teacher Stefan Bankel.

At Tuesday night's Salem School Board meeting, the board accepting the resignations for the purpose of retirement of several longtime school officials effective the end of this school year.
"We will be acknowledging them at a May meeting," SAU 57 Superintendent Michael Delahanty said. "We'll take an opportunity to thank them for their service and present them with a token of the board's appreciation."
The longest-tenured of the retirees is Salem High School business teacher Stefan Bankel, whose more than 36 years of service included time as an administrator.
