School Board to Discuss New High School Sign
Board planning session tackles possible electronic sign.

A possible electronic sign in front of Salem High School will be discussed at tonight's Salem School Board planning session at 7 p.m. at the high school.
SAU 57 Superintendent Michael Delahanty said the board will take up a plan do deal with the issue tonight. According to Delahanty, the sign would be digital and changed electronically.
He noted the sign could be "controversial," because there's a possibility it could be distracting to drivers as they go by the school.

Delahanty said money for the sign was contributed to the school district by the family of Edmond Lo, a 2004 SHS graduate who died while serving his country in Iraq.
The board will also discuss a plan under which they'd receive all their information electronically instead of through the courier service that is presently used, Delahanty said.
