School Board to Talk Budget Tonight

Board was recently presented with $60 million 2012-2013 budget.

The Salem School Board will meet tonight at 7 in the Salem High School Media Center for a regular meeting at which they'll continue discussions on the 2012-2013 district budget.

, which is for just over $60 million for next school year. The budget proposed by SAU 57 Superintendent Michael Delahanty is up 1.6 percent from the present year and includes both staff additions and reductions.

The board will discuss the budget tonight and at their next several meetings before it is presented to the Budget Committee on Dec. 7.

In addition the board will hear a presentation on student achievement from Woodbury Middle School, discuss some district policies and receive a special education iPad presentation.
