School Renovations Forum to be Held Nov. 13

Re-scheduled following Hurricane Sandy.

By Salem School District Superintendent's Office

Michael Delahanty, Salem Superintendent of Schools, announced that the Salem School Board has rescheduled the date for the public forum regarding a revised Facilities Renovation Project to be proposed for voter consideration in March 2013. The meeting will be held in the Seifert Auditorium at Salem High School on Tuesday, Nov. 13, beginning at 7 p.m. The forum is open to parents of current and entering students as well as interested citizens. All residents are encouraged to attend.

The School Board is proposing a renovation project to address facility deficiencies at two elementary schools, Fisk School and Soule School. School district officials, joined by Chris Drobat of Lavallee/Brensinger Architects and Gino Baroni of Trident Project Advantage Group, will provide a perspective of the Facilities Master Plan and options for the upcoming project. Board members will review recent enrollment projection information that influenced a decision to renovate two rather than three elementary schools. Officials from the New Hampshire School Administrators Association, authors of the study, will also be in attendance.
