
The Salem School District has posted the ten warrant articles that will be considered at the March 13 ballot vote and are available in a PDF to the right.
Article 1 will contain the electing of officers, while Articles 2 through 10 may be amended at the school deliberative sesson on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. at Salem High School.
Article 2 asks voters to consider the $21.5 million bond to renovate the Fisk, Haigh and Soule Elementary Schools as part of Phase II of the district's renovation plans.

Article 3 is for the school's operating budget of $59,777,128. If the article fails, a default budget of $60,312,713 would go into effect.
Articles 4 through 8 are for school union contracts as follows: Article 4, teachers; Article 5, secretaries; Article 6, educational assistants; Article 7, custodians; Article 8, food service.

Article 9 is regarding interest payments on the bond for Phase I on of the elementary school renovations, while Article 10 asks voters to end the Beede Waste Oil Expendable Trust Fund.
