Salem Selectman Pat Hargreaves reported at Monday's meeting that Hedgehog Park on Lowell Road has been the subject of vandalism of late and urged those perpetrating the damage to stop.

Hargreaves specifically mentioned the skate park at Hedgehog as the target of some of the vandalism.

"It's getting torn apart," he said. "The fences are getting torn apart."

He stated that the park is closed for the season and asked parents watching the meeting to tell their children of the closure and stay out.

"The gate is up and there's a fence on it," Hargreaves said. "They tore the fence down. It's killing me when I drive by there."
