Simon Scholarship Awarded at MARP

Casey Lowes, of Sandown, has received a Simon Youth Foundation Community Scholarship valued at $1,400.  The scholarship is awarded in partnership between The Mall at Rockingham Park and Simon Youth Foundation, a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational and career development opportunities to youth.

Lowes, a senior at Timberlane Regional High School, has exemplified herself through academic excellence, leadership skills, and participation in both school and community activities.  She served as captain of the varsity Volleyball team and as a member of the Timberlane Players drama club, as well as a member of the Students of Service community outreach program.  She has a lifelong passion for dance and is involved in productions ranging in style from tap and ballet to contemporary.  She plans to study Communications and Journalism at the University of New Hampshire, with the hopes of becoming a broadcast journalist.

“We are very proud of the Simon Youth Scholarships program, because it has given us the opportunity to support the academic endeavors of promising youth right here in our community,” says Cindy Hall, mall manager at The Mall at Rockingham Park.

With a combined value of more than $1 million, Simon Youth Scholarships have been awarded this spring to at least one student in every nationwide community that is home to a Simon property.  The highly competitive program awarded one scholarship for every five applicants that applied at SYF.org or at their local Simon property.
