SALEM, NH — Salem has a special election coming up for town council seats, so the Supervisors of the Checklist of Salem will be meeting to register new voters.

The supervisors will meet between 9 and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, in the lower level of the municipal office building.

Voters, at this time, can change or correct their current registrations or switch political party affiliations, Kelly Anne Dortona, the town’s Supervisor of the Checklist, said. It will also be the last time a resident can register to vote and have their name on the checklist. New Hampshire has same-day voter registration, too, with required documentation, including a picture identification, like a driver’s license, and proof of domicile. Naturalized citizens must show a passport or documented citizenship paperwork.
