Tewksbury MA Man Arrested On 2nd DUI, Threat Charges: Salem Police Log
Plus: Salem teen arrested on contempt, mischief, and disorderly charges; Mass. woman accused of drug sales; 3 accused of stealing grease.
SALEM, NH — Isaiah Antonio Mahir, 19, of Braemoor Woods in Salem was arrested at 12:55 p.m. on Sept. 3, 2024, on contempt, resisting arrest or detention, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct charges. Police were flagged down for a report of a domestic incident after a car and scooter accident on South Broadway Street. The witness said people were fighting. Mahir was arrested and held without bail.
Bruce N. Wheeler, 39, of Norwood Road in Salem was arrested at 12:24 p.m. on Sept. 3 on a bail jumping charge and a bench warrant. He turned himself in on a $1,000 cash bail electronic bench warrant and was released on personal recognizance on the Salem warrant.
Linda Ann Cappucci, 59, of Bradlee Road in Medford, Massachusetts, was arrested at 8:29 a.m. on Sept. 3 on driving under the influence and felony controlled drug: sale, etc., heroin/crack, more than 5 grams charges. Police were sent to a well-being check at Rockingham Park Boulevard and Tuscan Boulevard and received “multiple” reports about a woman behind the wheel with her head on the steering wheel and foot on the brake, according to a report. Salem fire and rescue teams were requested and the driver was taken to the Parkland Medical Center. The vehicle was towed to police headquarters. Later, the driver was arrested and taken to jail.

James Dillon Perry, 35, of Secor Way in Tewksbury, MA, was arrested at 2:03 p.m. on Sept. 2 on DUI-second offense, contempt, criminal threatening, driving after revocation or suspension, and resisting arrest or detention charges. Police stopped a vehicle on North Broadway Street and accused the driver of fleeing the area, to the Dollar Tree, and out the back door of the store. After checking behind Dollar Tree and Turf Depot, he was found and arrested. Police accused Perry of being “uncooperative with the booking process” and was taken to jail.
A 29-year-old was taken into protective custody at 4:08 a.m. on Sept. 2 in the area of Artisan Drive after a report of an intoxicated man who was not responsive. He refused Salem EMT care and taken to jail.

Richard Martier, 53, of Allen Road in Windham was arrested at 1:47 a.m. on Sept. 2 on a DUI charge. He was arrested after a motor vehicle stop at Speedway on North Broadway Street. He was released on personal recognizance and released to a sober party.
Steven Espada, 29, of Wellman Street in Lowell, MA, was arrested at 1:10 a.m. on Aug. 11 on a DUI charge. He was arrested after a motor vehicle stop at South Broadway Street near Stachey’s Pizza.
A 17-year-old was arrested at 6:14 p.m. on Aug. 2 on a domestic violence-simple assault charge after a fight on South Broadway. Salem fire and rescue teams were sent to the scene and the teen was taken into custody. He was released later to a family member.
Algenis Cordones, 36, of North Street in Methuen, MA, was arrested at 6:25 a.m. on Aug. 2 on theft by unauthorized taking-less than $1,000, criminal trespass, and loitering or prowling charges Also arrested on the same charges was Victor Alexander Lebron Contreras, 21, of North Street in Methuen, MA, and a 14-year-old. Police were sent to the Borders Brew Supply on North Broadway Street for an open 911 line. Later, police spoke to the caller, who claimed three men they had never seen were near a van and “possibly stealing grease.” Three people were arrested and the van towed back to police headquarters. The juvenile was released to a guardian and the men were released on personal recognizance.
