Thieves Hit Banana Republic, BJ's and CVS

The following arrest information was supplied by the Salem Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Sept. 12

  • 8:54 a.m.: A caller on Millville Street reported that a wire came down overnight.
  • 12:14 p.m.: David Zimmerle, 42, of 16 Maple St., Apt. #3, Derry was arrested on a warrant and charged with receiving stolen property. He was released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail.
  • 3:40 p.m.: A caller on South Broadway reported the theft of three snowboards the previous day.
  • 4:32 p.m.: A caller at Banana Republic on Mall Road reported the theft of $700 worth of merchandise.
  • 7:38 p.m.: A caller at BJ's Wholesale Club on Cluff Road reported the theft of two electric razors and razor blades.
  • 7:56 p.m.: A caller reported that there was a storm drain on Pond Road that was lifted out of the ground with a barrel near it that was causing people to get flat tires.
  • 9:03 p.m.: Tyler Steven Racine, 20, of 99 Cluff Crossing Road, Apt. #E2, Salem was charged with resisting arrest/detention, burglary possession of burglary tools and two counts of loitering or prowling. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail.
  • 11:08 p.m.: A caller at CVS on South Broadway reported that two women left the store with a carriage full of merchandise.
