(Patch Graphic)

Main Street Reconstruction between Broadway and Millville Street will begin on Sunday, Aug. 6. Main Street will be shut down at night between 7:30 p.m. and 7 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6 and Monday, Aug. 7. Motorists will be detoured around the project work site according to the attached map. After night work is completed there will be daily lane closures through the month of August during normal working hours. Motorists can expect traffic delays during this time and should seek alternate routes. Construction related lane closures will be opened back up at the end of each workday.

Remaining work for the Salem Depot Intersection Project is also ongoing.

Motorists are also advised that Consolidated Communications will be working on a duct bank relocation on South Broadway immediately north of the Central Street intersection. The work effort to lower the duct bank is very involved and will take several weeks to complete. The work is primarily situated in the road shoulder. Concrete barriers are being installed and may limit southbound traffic movement for the duration of the utility relocation effort. The relocation effort has been delayed to September.
