While all you residents in Salem who voted against Curbside Pickup for the town are driving back and forth to the Transfer Station and unloading smelly bags of garbage I am enjoying the life of leisure. I have moved to a community that offers some benefits to their tax payers. My trash is picked up weekly at curbside and recyclables are picked up every two weeks, In addition, in the fall when the leaves fall off the trees, I just sweep them to the curb and a big vacuam truck comes along and sucks them up. If I have storm damage and I lose a few branches off a tree then every 3 weeks a truck with a chipper comes through the neighborhood and gonzo. All this for 1/3 of the taxes I was paying in Salem. Plus I have miles of walking trails to choose from, more than a dozen parks and great police protection.
