Traumatic Crash Reported on I-93

Online alerts are reporting that a major accident has occurred on the northbound side of I-93 in Salem near Exit 1.

Salem Fire and Rescue teams were sent to the scene were a pickup truck reportedly struck a bridge abutment head-on. A 40-year-old man sustained a traumatic head injury. The man may have been ejected from the truck but that has not confirmed, according to alerts. He was later transported to Lawrence General Hospital.
