Tuscan Kitchen Donates $4K, 200 Turkeys to Homeless Shelter
Lazarus House in Lawrence, MA, has received nearly $40,000 during the past few years.
Tuscan Kitchen in Salem donated 200 turkeys and $4,000 to the Lazarus House (a homeless shelter that offers support services in Lawrence) to help families in need.
The $4,000 donation was the result of the annual Toscana Fest autumn festival held by Tuscan Kitchen, which has raised nearly $40,000 in the last few years for Lazarus House.
Along with the donated turkeys, funds from the annual Toscana Fest in Salem, money to build a walk-in freezer for food storage and a kitchen for culinary training, as well as the work placement,Tuscan Brands has provided internships and jobs for guests of the Lazarus House for years, according to a press statement.
