Two Charged in Target Theft

A theft of construction equipment was also reported.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Salem Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Oct. 22

  • 3:41 p.m.: Police received a report of a theft of construction equipment from Busby Construction Trailer on Pond Street.
  • 4:10 p.m.: Krzystof Zalewski, 59, of 14 Penn Brook Ave., Georgetown, MA was charged with theft by deception. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail.
  • 4:39 p.m.: Robert Edward Redman, 21, of 244 Redman St., Dracut, MA was charged with willful concealment; theft, possession of a controlled drug and hand guns felon in possession. Juan Antonio Orozco, 21, of 126 Walker St, Lowell, MA was charged with willful concealment; theft, possession of a controlled drug and willful concealment; theft third conviction. They were arrested after a manager at Target on South Broadway reported that two men used a knife to cut open some boxes and take merchandise. Both subjects refused bail.
  • 5:01 p.m.: Patrick Scheidegger, 22, of 20 Tiffany Road, Apt. #6, Salem was charged with unauthorized use of a firearm/firecracker. He was released on a court summons.
  • 5:25 p.m.: Nicholas Robert Hodgdon, 19, of 1 Gillis Terrace, Salem was arrested on a bench warrant. The charge was not specified.
  • 8:05 p.m.: Police received a report of an accident on Lowell Road.
  • 8:06 p.m.: Police received a report of indecent exposure at Barnes & Noble on South Broadway.
  • 9 p.m.: Police received a report of an accident on Lowell Road.
