Two Injured After Truck Driver Falls Asleep at the Wheel
NHSP: I-93 North in Windham was closed for three hours after vehicle crashes into tractor-trailer that rolled over.

New Hampshire State Police were called to a two-vehicle accident on I-93 North in Windham at a little past 5 a.m. on Oct. 13, 2015, that sent two people to the hospital with minor injuries.
According to a press release, troopers were called to the area of the weigh station on I-93 at around 5:18 a.m. for a rollover.
Investigators learned that the driver, a Manchester man in his late 20s who was not injured in the crash, fell asleep at the wheel, struck a guardrail, and rolled the truck over, blocking all lanes of the Interstate.

Right after the crash, a Subaru with a man and woman in their late 50s from Manchester, slammed into the box truck. The driver and passenger were taken to Elliot Hospital with minor injuries, according to the report.
“As a result of the crash, a large amount of diesel fuel from the box truck spilled onto the highway,” according to Sgt. Steve Callinan of the NHSP. “The highway was shut down for approximately three hours due to the cleanup and traffic was diverted off the Interstate at Exit 3 in Windham.”

NHSP were assisted at the scene by Windham and Londonderry police, Londonderry Fire and Rescue teams, and the NH DOT.
