Two Injured in 8-Car Crash on I-93
Multiple vehicle crash caused serious backups during rush hour this morning.
Two people were injured in an eight-car crash on Interstate 93 south in Windham on Tuesday morning.
At 7:49 a.m., State Police responded to a report of several vehicles involved in a crash on I-93 south, just north of the Windham weigh station.
Upon arrival, they found eight vehicles involved in the crash, with two people suffering from minor injuries.

State Police said a black Nissan Versa driven by Alexandria Reddington of Manchester crashed into a Chrysler Sebring driven by Carlene Jackson of Litchfield, causing a chain reaction crash involving six other vehicles.
A third vehicle, a green Ford Explorer driven by Vanessa Hall of Manchester, crashed into the back of Reddington’s vehicle, forcing it into a silver Crown Victoria driven by Robin Conner of New London.

Conner’s vehicle then struck a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Christopher Sullivan of Deerfield. Sullivan’s car then hit a beige Chevrolet Malibu driven by Rogerio Abreu of Londonderry, and Abreu’s car was pushed into a silver Nissan driven by George Taylor of Windham.
Another vehicle, a silver Nissan driven by Arthur Marquis of Deerfield, crashed into the back of Hall’s car.
Reddington suffered injuries to her right knee, left leg, and right elbow. Hall suffered injuries to her neck, chin and teeth. Both women were taken to Elliot Hospital in Manchester for treatment.
No one else was injured in the crash, though several of the vehicles sustained severe damage and had to be towed from the scene.
State Police said the cause of the crash was a violation of the state’s following too closely law by Reddington, Hall and Marquis.
