Veterans Park to Host Veterans Day Event

Veterans Day will be honored Friday with an 11 a.m. ceremony at Veterans Park at the corner of Main and Bridge Streets.

Additional ceremony services will be held thereafter at Pine Grove Cemetery on North Main Street.

Patriotic songs will be played and a 21-gun salute will be performed by the VFW Post 8546 firing squad as well as the playing of "Taps."

Salem Town Hall, schools and transfer station will all be closed Friday in observance of Veterans Day.
