Village Shoppes Plaza Sells for $39.9 Million
Plaza contains Best Buy, Sports Authority, other stores.
The Eagle-Tribune reported today that Village Shoppes of Salem, the shopping plaza that is home to , and four other stores, has been sold to Boston real estate firm to Route 28 Salem LP.
The paper reported the buyer has plans for major renovations at Village Shoppes. Local officials have taken the sale as a sign of an improving local economy, the paper reported.
Village Shoppes is 170,270 square feet, was built in 1999 and was developed over six years, according to the Eagle-Tribune.
