PLAISTOW, NH — A video posted on the Neighbors app shows a red fox roaming around the backyard of a home in Plaistow. The video was taken on Jan. 2 on Pollard Road. Red foxes, like the one captured on this security video, are found all around the state, according to the New Hampshire Fish & Game Department.

Mating season for red foxes runs from January to early March, and they attract each other via nocturnal barks — so Granite Staters should not be surprised if they see one, on the prowl, or howling, during the evening hours.
