WBIN-TV to launch WBIN Classics/Antenna TV in January

Local produced programming still in development will be featured along with classic re-runs.

WBIN-TV announced its new digital channel “WBIN Classics”. It will premiere on Jan. 1, 2015. The majority of the programming will be provided by Tribune Broadcasting’s Antenna TV, but will also feature locally produced programming still in development. “WBIN Classics” will replace The Live Well Network, which is ceasing operations.

“WBIN is excited to team with Tribune Broadcasting in bringing Antenna TV to the Boston market. Antenna TV has enjoyed considerable success in other cities and we are confident Boston will be next,” said Gerry McGavick, General Manager of WBIN-TV. “We are also pleased with the flexibility this network provides us to create and broadcast local content. We will be working with NH1 News as well as our own producers to create compelling programs that will appeal to both New Hampshire and Massachusetts viewers.”

Antenna TV, which is now available on 94 affiliates across the U.S. reaching 75% of TV households, features a lineup of classic favorites such as: I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, Leave it to Beaver, Doogie Howser, M.D., The Partridge Family, Sanford and Son, All in the Family, Good Times, The Three Stooges among many more.
