Weather
Will there be snow this weekend? Maybe on Saturday night. According to the National Weather Service, there will be partly sunny skies on Friday with highs in the low 50s. Temperatures though drop down to the mid-30s at night (but slightly warmer on the Seacoast, around the mid-40s). Rain is possible on Saturday with highs in the 40s and it could turn to snow for the middle and southern part of the state during the late evening or early morning hours when temps drop down into the mid-20s. More sun is expected on Sunday with highs in the 40s.

- Treasures Antiques, Collectables & MORE!, 106 Ponemah Road, Route 122 in Amherst hosts a holiday open house and kitty angels weekend on Saturday and Sunday.
- The New England Antiquities Research Association Fall 2014 Conference will be held at the Holiday Inn Nashua on 9 Northeastern Blvd. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

- It’s the last day for Scarecrows of the Port around Portsmouth.
- A Halloween Spooktacular time will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Merrimack Premium Outlets.
- The Merrimack Valley Baptist Church, 517 Boston Post Road in Merrimack, hosts a community fall festival from 6 to 8 p.m.
- The Portsmouth Halloween Parade will be held at Peirce Island at 6 p.m.
- The Canvas Roadshow, 176 South River Road in Bedford hosts a Halloween painting party at 6:30 p.m. featuring “The Scream.” Tickets are $35 and registration is required.
- Piccola Opera presents its Halloween Opera Ball at 7:30 p.m. at the Concord City Auditorium, 2 Prince St. in Concord. Tickets are $20.

- St. Michael’s Church, Lincoln Street in Exeter hosts a Christmas Fair from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Hampton United Methodist Church, 525 Lafayette Road/Route 1 in Hampton, hosts a fall rummage sale from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Putnam’s Ski and Snowboard Shop, 2998 Lafayette Road in Portsmouth, holds a ski swap from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Kids 12 and older can get ready for the future by learning about tech jobs at the NH Techfest 2014 at Nashua North High School, 10 Chuck Druding Drive in Nashua, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- The Portsmouth Public Library, 175 Parrott Avenue in Portsmouth, hosts a talk about Buddhism from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

- The New Hampshire Art Association holds its annual gala event fundraiser at the Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery, 136 State St. in Portsmouth.
- Sarah Jane Freymann, a literary agent and co-author of “Your Life is a Book: How to Craft & Publish Your Memoir,” will be at Water Street Bookstore, 125 Water St. in Exeter at 6 p.m. to help you with the writing process.
