Weather
The National Weather Service is calling for a cloudy, cool weekend this weekend. Expect sunny skies on Saturday with highs in the high 20s (low 30s on the Seacoast). Overnight, temps will drop down into the teens (mid-20s on the Seacoast). On Sunday, forecasters are calling for mostly cloudy skies with highs in the mid-to-high 40s. Overnight lows will drop down to the mid-30s, lower 40s.

- The 2014 Fez’tival of Trees wraps up this weekend. Tickets are $4-$5.
- The New Hampshire Theatre Project presents “The School for Wives” this weekend at the West End Studio Theatre, 959 Islington St. in Portsmouth. Tickets are $22-$26.
- The New England Dance Ensemble presents “The Nutcracker” at the Windham High School Theater, 64 London Bridge Road in Windham. Tickets are $25-$35.
- The Players’ Ring Theater, 105 Marcy St. in Portsmouth, presents “Other Desert Cities” this weekend. Tickets are $12-$15.

- The Frank Jones Center, 400 US Highway 1 Bypass in Portsmouth, hosts a designing women fine art and craft show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- The WineNot Boutique, 170 Main St. in Nashua, hosts a wine and cheese tasting social at 1 p.m.
- National Theatre Live’s broadcast of “Frankenstein,” is coming to the Capitol Center for the Arts, 44 South Main St. in Concord at 2 p.m. Tickets for the showing are $15.
- The American Independence Museum, 164 Water St. in Exeter hosts its closing weekend festivities at 5 p.m. on Saturday, including a number of demonstrations and fun.
- Nashua’s 2014 Winter Holiday Stroll takes place from 5 to 10 p.m. on Main Street.
- Whippersnappers Restaurant, 44 Nashua Road in Londonderry, hosts a paint nite at 6:30 p.m. and then at 9:30 p.m., Never in Vegas performs.
- The 20-Piece Compaq Big Band performs at 7 p.m. at the Nashua Public Library, 2 Court St.
- Don Severance performs at The Oar House, 55 Ceres St. in Portsmouth, at 7 p.m.
- Dueling Pianos perform at the Capitol Center for the Arts, 44 South Main St. in Concord, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $19-$23.
- The Slakas play Chapanga’s Griddle & Grill, 168 Elm St. in Milford, at 8:30 p.m.
Sunday
- The Hampshire Hills Athletic Club, 50 Emerson Road in Milford, hosts an antique show at 8:30 a.m. Tickets are $5.
- St. Joseph Regional Catholic School, 40 Main St. in Salem, hosts a Christmas Festival at 9 a.m.
- Jim Dozet plays jazz at Rudi’s Portsmouth, 20 High St. in Portsmouth, at 10 a.m.
- The Community Players of Concord are hosting auditions for “The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife,” at 5 p.m. at the Players Studio, 435 Josiah Bartlett Road in Concord. Auditions will also be held on Monday.
- Bring your family pet to meet Santa at 7 p.m. at the Pheasant Lane Mall, 310 Daniel Webster Highway in Nashua.
- Family pets can also pose with Santa at 7 p.m. at The Mall at Rockingham Park, 99 Rockingham Blvd. in Salem.
- Joe McDonald plays Whippersnappers Restaurant, 44 Nashua Road in Londonderry, at 7:30 p.m.
- A Celtic Tenors Christmas will be held at the Capitol Center for the Arts, 44 South Main St. in Concord, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $33-$38.
