MANCHESTER, NH — Five Catholic Charities New Hampshire skilled nursing facilities have received quality awards for 2026.
The facilities recognized were Mt. Carmel Rehabilitation & Nursing Center and St. Teresa Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, both in Manchester, along with St. Ann Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Dover, St. Francis Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Laconia, and Warde Senior Living in Windham, won the bronze Commitment to Quality Award from the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living. All five facilities are scheduled to be formally recognized during the 2026 AHCA/NCAL Convention & Expo in Boston, Massachusetts, in October.
According to Catholic Charities NH, the national award recognizes long-term and post-acute care providers that show a strong commitment to quality care, organizational excellence, and continuous improvement. The Bronze Award is the first of three levels in the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, which the organization described as a performance improvement initiative for senior care providers.
Catholic Charities NH said each facility underwent a review process that assessed leadership, planning, staff engagement, and resident care.
“To have five facilities recognized in the same year is a tremendous accomplishment,” Alain Bernard, assistant vice president of healthcare services for Catholic Charities NH, said. “This recognition belongs to our staff. They come to work every day committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care for our residents. We are continually inspired by the difference they make in the lives of our residents and their families.”
Catholic Charities NH said the award is the latest in a series of honors for its healthcare communities, which provide short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, memory care, assisted living, and independent living services for older adults across New Hampshire.
Earlier this year, U.S. News & World Report named Warde Senior Living among the nation's top-performing providers of short-term rehabilitation and St. Teresa Rehabilitation & Nursing Center among the nation's top providers of long-term care. St. Ann, St. Francis, St. Teresa, Warde Senior Living, and St. Vincent Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Berlin received 2026 Customer Experience Awards from Activated Insights.
