Auditions Nearing for 'The Music Man'

For aspiring or seasoned actors in or around the Windham community, a perfect opportunity to get involved in the town's theater scene is on the horizon.

Windham Actors Guild has announced the audition dates for its upcoming April production of "The Music Man."

Those auditions will be split into two parts, the first taking place on Jan. 29 for kids ages 5-15. Those will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Two days later on Jan. 31, adults ages 15 and up will be invited to try out between 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

All tryouts will take place at Windham High School. Callbacks have also been scheduled for Feb. 5 at 2:00 p.m. at WHS.

In a release from WAG President Richard A. Bouchard, he offered a description of the auditions, which will consist of both music and dance.

The actors are expected to provide their own sheet music. An accompanist will be available.

The production will take place on April 27-29.

In November, WAG put on a production of "Arsenic and Old Lace," which drew solid crowds over three days of shows. 

Those performances featured a cast of 13 actors from both Windham and surrounding towns.
