Best of Windham Business Tournament Coming

Over the next four months, Windham Patch will be partnering with the Windham Community Development Department for an event of epic proportions: the inaugural Best of Windham Business Tournament.

The last business standing at the end of the tournament will receive a major feature on the Patch website, including a full story, photos and video.

Each week we will poll readers, asking them to support one of a variety of different businesses from a specific category.

Those 12 categories are listed below:

Restaurant

Fitness (Yoga, Gym, Personal Training and Martial Arts)

Salon/Spa/Barber Shop

Private Child Care/Preschool/Kindergarten

Auto Repair/Sales/Service

Specialty Foods/Gifts

Coffee

Pizza

Home Improvement (Contactors, Builders, Painters, Architects and Suppliers)

Financial Institutions (Banks, Mortgage Brokers and Financial Investors)

Health Care (Physical Therapy, Ophthalmologist, Dentist, Orthodontists, Pediatrics, Assisted Living and Primary Care)

Best of the Rest

The first category will launch on Monday, Feb. 27 right here on the website.

Voting for each category will begin at 6:00 a.m. on Monday and end at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. One winner will be selected from each to move on to the next round: The Terrific Twelve!

Those businesses moving on will be clumped into groups of three, and each group will run through another week of voting. Out of that will come the Patch-tastic Four!

Businesses will then be separated into pairs, with those receiving the most votes in their matchups moving on to the Championship Round.

One final week of voting will take place to determine which business is the Best of Windham.

On Sunday, Feb. 26 we will release a complete schedule for the tournament. We will also be distributing flyers with that schedule to as many area businesses as we can, so that when you head into those busiesses, you can see when it is time to vote for them.

Don't get upset if we miss a business. Let us know in the polls and we can add it to the "best of the rest category

This tournament hinges on community support, so we can't do this without you! Spread the word to friends, family, colleagues and strangers to make the first annual Best of Windham Business Tournament the best it can be!
