Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce, DRED discuss concerns, challenges for New Hampshire businesses.

State Sen. Regina Birdsell, R-Hampstead, who represents District 19, including the towns of Derry, Hampstead and Windham, hosted a local business forum yesterday with the Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce and the Department of Resources and Economic Development, to discuss challenges related to small business owners’ ability to start or expand in the state of New Hampshire, according to a press statement.
“First, I’d like to thank the local businesses who participated in this morning’s forum for sharing the challenges you face when owning a business in New Hampshire,” she said. “We heard from a diverse group of businesses spanning the high tech, retail, and restaurant industries. They shared concerns related to financing and lending options that are making it even more difficult for startups and businesses who are trying to expand and find success in New Hampshire.”
“One of my top priorities in the New Hampshire Senate in to ensure that as a state, we are doing everything we can to allow businesses to grow and to create jobs, improving our statewide economy. I hope to continue an open and engaged dialogue with business owners in my district so that we can focus on ways to make New Hampshire more competitive and business friendly,” Birdsell continued.
