Critical Conclusions......

Everyone is looked at with either positive or negative conclusions based on appearance. We should all know the facts before we pass judgement. We are all trying our best!

We all live in a World of Judgment. Our appearances are greatly criticized. If we are overweight, too thin, too muscular, etc. Assumptions are automatically set in motion, without knowing the person or situation. If an individual is super thin the person is often times thought to have an eating disorder. If the person is super muscular the individual is automatically presumed to be using steroids. If the person is very heavy (obese) the person is looked at like they are lazy, etc. Further investigating would conclude though that the super skinny person has an extremely high metabolism and eats constantly. The muscular person thought to be using steroids has been lifting weights for decades and has devoted their live to eating clean and refraining from drugs. The overweight person that was looked on with disgust has a metabolic disorder and also had major injury inhibiting any exercise. Still…without knowing the circumstances, they are looked at in a negative way.

Another misconception and misjudgment at first glance is Tattoos. If one has visible “INK” they immediately looked at like they are “sketchy”. Personally, I feel the opposite. As someone who is rather “eccentric”  I see tattoos as Art and a way of self expression. I joke around saying “I only workout to make my Ink look good”. I have been in a managerial position with responsibilities of hiring and firing. Most of the time, the hired tattooed individual is the most interesting one. Usually the most articulate and intelligent person.

The moral of my little story, on a health and fitness standpoint, is to not pass judgment on someone you see in the gym or out unless you know the facts. If you’re a dedicated fitness person and your consistent with your own nutrition, exercise, etc .. that’s awesome!!! Don’t assume everyone out there is not trying though. We all are trying our best and deserve props! So until then…..when you see the Cartoon-like ,Scary, muscular tattooed character(ME) in the gym or out and about…….don’t cast stones at glass houses. Look at yourself fist and focus on that!
