Crossing the Border, Gymnasts Take Firsts
Local gymnasts compete in Massachusetts meet
Middleton, Mass. ~ Local gymnasts from Phantom Gymnastics travelled into Massachusetts for a meet at Yellowjackets gymnastics over the weekend of December 1st. More than 95 gymnasts took the trip, competing in ten sessions over the three days of the event.
In the XCel program, the advanced, intermediate, and novice teams won first place. The rookie group took second place. In the JO team, level 9 finished first, levels 4, 5, 6, and 7 took second and level 8 came in fourth.

Rookie:
Delaney Stone, of Salem, took first on beam and floor, third on vault and bars and was first place in the all-around for the senior division.
Hannah Allgood, of Windham, was third on vault and bars and took fifth on beam.
Novice:
Emilee Redshaw, of Salem, was first on floor, fifth on beam and vault and took first in the all-around.
Intermediate:
Brytni Benjamin, of Windham, was first on beam, third on bars and floor, and took first in the all-around for the child division.
Julia Worden, of Windham, took first on floor, second on beam, third on bars and fourth on vault. She came in second in the all-around for the junior division.
Brittney Waller, of Salem, was second on floor, fourth on beam and third in the all-around.
Kierstin Lock, of Salem, scored an 8.7 on floor and an 8.6 on bars.
Amber Chopelas, of Salem, took second on floor, fourth on bars and beam, fifth on vault and came in second in the all-around for the senior division.
Ashley Myer, of Salem, was fifth on floor and bars and took sixth in the all-around.
Advanced:
Erin Faber, of Salem, scored a 9.25 on bars and a 9.15 on floor.
Leah Faber, of Salem, took first on floor, third on beam and bars and was third in the all-around for the junior division.
Nicole Faber, of Salem, was first on vault and bars, second on beam, and third on floor. She placed first in the all-around in the senior division.
JO Program
Level 4:
Camryn Rueda, of Windham, was first on vault, bars and beam, and took third on floor. She won the all-around for the child division.
Ava Sanchez, of Windham, was first on floor, third on vault and took third in the all-around in the child division.
Erin Ross, of Salem, was fourth on floor (9.05) and beam.
Haley Farrell, of Salem, scored an 8.925 on floor and an 8.55 on beam.
Christina Pelekasis, of Salem, earned an 8.5 on floor and an 8.25 on vault.
Jenny Gouthrou, of Salem, took fourth on beam and fifth on floor. She placed fifth in the all-around for the junior division.
Level 5:
Emily Jones, of Salem, took third on bars with a score of 9.1.
Level 6:
Kacie Blanchet, of Salem, was first on bars and took fifth on vault. She won fourth in the all-around for the junior division.
Sydney Chretien, of Salem, was second on vault and beam and took fifth on floor.
Kasey Hartman, of Salem, took first on floor and second on beam. She was second in the all-around in the senior division.
Elizabeth Aldrich, of Salem, was first on beam and fifth in the all-around in the senior division.
Jordan Wakim, of Salem, scored an 8.925 on beam and an 8.75 on both vault and floor.
Level 7:
Morgan Suech, of Windham, took first place on vault and bars and second on floor in the child division.
Olivia Faro, of Windham, was third on floor and fourth on vault in the child division.
Sydney Bartlett, of Salem, was first on bars, fourth on vault and beam and took fourth place for the junior division.
Scarlett Souter, of Windham, was second on vault, third on bars, fifth on floor and sixth in the all-around in the junior division.
Level 8:
Rebecca Heath, of Windham, took second on bars and floor and was second in the all-around in the child division.
Olivia Champagne, of Salem, was sixth on floor with a 9.2 in the junior division.
Level 9:
Sara Fisher, of Pelham, was second on beam, third on vault and fifth on bars. She took fourth in the all-around in the child division.
Phantom Gymnastics is a competitive gymnastics program located on Route 111 in Hampstead and draws gymnasts from across Southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts.
