Gymnastics Teams Continue Winning Streak

The Phantom Gymnastics Optional and Xcel teams competed in the Bay State Classic at UMass Lowell the weekend of January 5th taking home five first place team trophies. 

Phantom JO levels 7 and 8, along with Xcel Advanced, Intermediate, and Novice, all came in first. The Xcel Rookie team placed second and the JO level 9 team came in third. An impressive twelve gymnasts placed first in the all-around against some tough competition.

Highlights for local girls include:

JO Level 9   

Sarah Fisher (Pelham) placed 4^th on vault with an 8.95.

JO Level 8

 Rebecca Heath (Windham) took 1^st on bars, 3^rd on vault and 1^st in the all-around with a score of 36.35.

Olivia Champagne (Salem) placed 2^nd on floor and 5^th in the all around with a 35.275.

JO Level 7 

Intermediate division:

Morgan Suech (Windham) took 1^st on vault, 2^nd on bars, 2^nd on floor, and 1^st in the all around with a 36.925. 

Olivia Faro (Windham) placed 1^st on beam, 1^st on floor, and 2^nd in the all around with a 36.65. 

Jr A division:

Sydney Bartlett (Salem) came in 4^th on floor with a 9.3.  

Jr B division:

Scarlett Souter (Windham) took 1^st on bars and beam, 2^nd on vault, and 1^st in the all around with a 36.4.

Xcel Advanced

Intermediate division:

Erin Faber (Salem) placed 2^nd on bars and floor, and came in 2^nd in the all around with a 35.65. 

Leah Faber (Salem), came in 1^st on vault and 3^rd in the all around with a 35.35. 

Senior division:

Nicole Faber (Salem), placed 1^st on bars, 2^nd on vault, and 1^st in the all around with a 35.725.  

Xcel Intermediate: 

Junior B division:

Julia Worden (Windham) came in 1^st on vault & bars and 1st in the all around with a 36.3. 

Brittney Waller (Salem) placed 3^rd on beam and 5^th in the all around with a 34.575.  

Junior A division: 

Brytni Benjamin (Windham) placed 4^th on vault, bars, and in the all around with a 34.85.  

Senior division:

Amber Chopelas (Salem) came in 4^th on vault and 6^th in the all around with a 34.975.  

Kierstin Lock (Salem) placed 6^th on Bars with an 8.725. 

Ashley Myer (Salem) came in 4^th on floor with a 9.0.  

Xcel Novice

Emilee Redshaw (Salem) placed 2^nd on floor and 6^th in the all around with a 35.375.

Xcel Rookie

Junior Division:

Hannah Allgood (Salem) placed 1^st in the all around with a 37.2. 

Delaney Stone (Salem) came in 3^rd in the all around with a 35.95.

Phantom Gymnastics is a competitive gymnastics program located on Route 111 in Hampstead and draws gymnasts from across Southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts.
