Gymnasts Compete At Local Qualifier

In their first New Hampshire meet of the 2011-12 season, local girls from Phantom Gymnastics in Hampstead enjoyed a strong showing, taking home several top prizes for individual events and all-around scores. 

At the meet in Bow on Sunday, December 18, all of the girls scored more than the 31.00 needed to go on to the state sectional meet in January.   

Some of the team highlights for girls from Windham, Pelham, and Salem include: 
 
Level 5    
 

Kacie Hartman, of Salem, took first place on vault (9.2) and Bars (9.05) and 2^nd on beam  (9.1). She placed first in the all-around with a score of 36.15.  

Emily Jones, of Salem, took first on beam with a 9.15 and 2^nd on bars with an 8.85. She came in 5^th in the all-around for her age group.  

 
Level 6   

Elizabeth Aldrich, of Salem, won first on beam with a 9.3, scored a 9.0 on vault for 4^th place, took 4th on bars and won second in the all-around with a score of 35.2. 

Scarlett Souter, of Windham, won 3^rd place on bars, tied Elizabeth for 4^th on vault, took 5^th on beam and floor and won 3^rd place in the all-around. 

Jordan Wakim, of Salem, tied for 5^th on bars, and took 5^th on vault (8.7) and 4^th on floor (8.95).  

Olivia Faro, of Windham, took first place on beam with a 9.2, third on floor and bars, 5^th on vault and won 2^nd place in the all-around.  

MacKenzie Svenson, of Salem, took 2^nd on floor with an 8.9 and on vault with a 9.1, tied for 4^th on beam and in the all-around. 

Kacie Blanchet, of Salem, took 3^rd place on beam, 4^th on floor and 5^th on bars.
