Gymnasts Compete At Local Qualifier

Windham girls compete in local qualifier to reach sectional meet for gymnastics.

 

In their first New Hampshire meet of the 2011-12 season, local girls from Phantom Gymnastics in Hampstead enjoyed a strong showing, taking home several top prizes for individual events and all-around scores. 

At the meet in Bow on Sunday, December 18, all of the girls scored more than the 31.00 needed to go on to the state sectional meet in January.

Some of the team highlights for girls from Windham, Pelham, and Salem include: 
 
Level 5    
 

Kacie Hartman, of Salem, took first place on vault (9.2) and Bars (9.05) and 2nd on beam  (9.1). She placed first in the all-around with a score of 36.15.

Emily Jones, of Salem, took first on beam with a 9.15 and 2nd on bars with an 8.85. She came in 5th in the all-around for her age group.  

 
Level 6   

Elizabeth Aldrich, of Salem, won first on beam with a 9.3, scored a 9.0 on vault for 4th place, took 4th on bars and won second in the all-around with a score of 35.2. 

Scarlett Souter, of Windham, won 3rd place on bars, tied Elizabeth for 4th on vault, took 5th on beam and floor and won 3rd place in the all-around. 

Jordan Wakim, of Salem, tied for 5th on bars, and took 5th on vault (8.7) and 4th on floor (8.95).  

Olivia Faro, of Windham, took first place on beam with a 9.2, third on floor and bars, 5th on vault and won 2nd place in the all-around.  

MacKenzie Svenson, of Salem, took 2nd on floor with an 8.9 and on vault with a 9.1, tied for 4th on beam and in the all-around. 

Kacie Blanchet, of Salem, took 3rd place on beam, 4th on floor and 5th on bars.
