Gymnasts Take First Place!

Shrewsbury, Mass. ~ At the end of a long weekend of competition, local gymnasts representing Phantom Gymnastics of Hampstead proudly walked away with most of the first place trophies for the team competition. In addition, many of the girls took top spots in individual and all-around events. 

Girls from Windham, Pelham, and Salem contributed to a team win in each of Levels 4, 5, 6, and 7, at the Hawaiian Luau Meet on February 18-19. Level 9 girls took 2^nd place in the team all-around. 

 Some of the highlights for our local girls include: 
 

 
Level 5  
 

Sydney Chretien, of Salem, was 1^st on floor with a 9.4, 2^nd on vault with a 9.0, 4^th on bars with a 9.25, and 5^th on beam with a 9.175. She won first place in the all-around for her age group with a 36.825.  

Kasey Hartmann, of Salem, took 1st place on vault (8.95), bars (9.35), and beam (9.05) and 2^nd on floor with a 9.35. She won first place in the all-around for her age group with a 36.70.  

Emily Jones, of Salem, was 1^st on bars with a 9.375, and 5^th in the all-around with a 35.525.  
 

Level 6  

Olivia Faro, of Windham, posted a personal best with 1^st place in the all-around with a score of 37.025. She won 1^st on bars with a 9.45, 5^th on vault with a 9.175 and on floor with a 9.1. 

Morgan Suech, of Derry, took 2nd place on vault with a 9.275 and on bars with a 9.4. She won 5^th place in the all-around with a total of 36.350. 

MacKenzie Svenson, of Salem, won 4^th place on vault with a 9.2 and 5^th on bars with a 9.1. 

Jordan Wakim, of Salem, took second place on floor with a 9.175, 5^th on bars and 4^th in the all-around with a 35.875.  

Elizabeth Aldrich, of Salem, earned a 9.0 on floor and an 8.65 on vault.  

Kacie Blanchet, of Salem, scored a personal best on her beam routine with an 8.825. 

Level 7  

Rebecca Heath, of Windham, was 1st on bars with a 9.5 and on beam with a 9.425. She took 3^rd on floor with a 9.65 and won the all-around with a total score of 37.7. 

Gabriella Palermo, of Salem, was first on bars with a 9.35 and on beam with a 9.275. She took 2^nd on vault with a 9.3 and on floor with a 9.475. She won the all-around with a total score of 37.40 

Olivia Champagne, of Salem, took 2^nd on bars with a 9.175. 

Sydney Bartlett, of Salem, took 2^nd on beam with a 9.425. 

Level 8 

Ali Otis, of Windham, placed 1^st on beam with a 9.2, 3^rd on vault and floor.   

Level 9 

Sara Fisher, of Pelham, took 5^th place on vault with a 9.025, beam and floor and won 7^th in the all-around for her age division.
