Local Girls Start Off Strong at Two Gymnastics Meets
Local girls score high at two local meets as they kick off their 2011-12 gymnastics season.

After a long offseason, gymnasts from Windham, Salem, and Pelham took to the vault, bars, beam and floor over the past several weeks, coming up with a strong start to their 2011-2012 season.
The girls, all members of the Phantom Gymnastics team of Hampstead, NH, competed over two weekends in meets in Massachusetts facing intense competition to stake out several first place wins, including a first place for the level 7 team at the 2011 Holiday Invitational Meet in Middleton.
The girls competed at the Pilgrim Harvest meet in Worcester over the weekend of November 19-20. Levels 7 to 9 also competed at the Holiday Invitational on December 3rd.

Level 5 - The team took 3rd place at the Pilgrim Harvest.
Kasey Hartman, of Salem, scored a 9.0 on vault, 9.2 on bars for 2nd, a 9.375 on floor for third, and a 36.150 in the all-around for 4th place.
Sydney Chretien, of Salem, scored a 9.1 on beam, 9.2 on floor, and a 35.35 in the all-around.
Emily Jones, of Salem, scored a 9.15 on bars for 3rd place, and a 34.3 in the all-around.
Level 6 - The team took 4th place at the Pilgrim Harvest.
Jordan Wakim, of Salem, scored an 8.975 on vault, an 8.75 on floor, and an all-around score of 34.125.
Elizabeth Aldrich, of Salem, earned an 8.8 on vault, 8.75 on beam for 3rd, 8.775 on floor, and a 34.125 in the all-around.
Scarlett Souter, of Windham, earned a 9.2 on vault, and an 8.6 on floor.
Olivia Faro, of Windham, scored an 8.8 on vault, an 8.95 on floor.
MacKenzie Svenson, of Salem, earned an 8.9 on vault, and an 8.5 on floor.
Kacie Blanchet, of Salem, earned a 9.1 on vault, and a 8.524 on floor.
Level 7 - The team took 2nd place at the Pilgrim Harvest and 1st at the Holiday Invitational.
Gabriella Palermo, of Salem, scored a 9.275 on vault for 2nd, 9.05 on bars for 3rd, 9.025 on beam for 2nd, and a 35.95 in the all-around for a 2nd place at the Pilgrim Harvest.
She also scored a 9.225 for 3rd on vault, 9.075 for 1st on bars, 9.225 for 2nd on beam, 9.375 for 2nd on floor and a 36.9 for 1st place in the all-around at the Holiday Invite.
Olivia Champagne, of Salem, scored an 8.975 on vault, 8.6 on bars for 3rd, 9.2 on beam and a 35.075 at the Pilgrim Harvest.
She also scored an 8.7 on vault, 8.75 on bars, 9.175 for 3rd on beam, 9.15 on floor and a 35.775 in the all-around at the Holiday Invite.
Sydney Bartlett, of Salem, scored a 9.0 on vault, an 8.6 on floor and a 34 in the all-around at the Pilgrim Harvest.
She also scored an 8.875 on vault, a 9.0 on beam, a 9.25 on floor at the Holiday Invitational.
Rebecca Heath, of Windham, scored a 9.3 on vault for 3rd and a 34.350 in the all-around at the Pilgrim Harvest.
She also took first on vault (9.4), bars (9.05), floor (9.5) and in the all-around with a 37.00 and 2nd place on beam with a 9.05 at the Holiday Invite.
Level 8
Ali Otis, of Windham, won 1st place on floor and in the all-around at the Pilgrim Harvest. She also took 2nd on vault and bars and a 9.25 for 1st on floor at the Holiday Invitational.
Level 9 - The team took 2nd place at the Pilgrim Harvest and 3rd at the Holiday Invitational.
Sara Fisher, of Pelham, took fourth place overall with an 8.825 on vault, 8.65 on beam an 8.5 on floor for 4th at the Pilgrim Harvest meet.
At the Holiday Invitational, she won 4th place on vault and floor.
