Moving on to States!
Gymnasts from Windham and Salem earn the right to compete at the NH State competition
Local gymnasts earn a spot at the New Hampshire USAG meet in April
Portsmouth ~ By earning a total all-around score of 33.0 or higher at the Winter Carnival meet over the weekend of January 7-8, local gymnasts from Phantom Gymnastics in Hampstead have taken one more step in the journey towards the New Hampshire state gymnastics meet.
With high scores on a number of events, the girls are seeing their hours of practice in the gym begin to pay off.
In the overall team awards, the Level 5 team took home the coveted First Place banner after some very strong showings, including one score over a 37.0! The Level 6 team, took second place in the team competition.

Some of the individual highlights for girls from Windham and Salem include:
Level 5 - Each of these girls will go on to the state competition
Kasey Hartmann, of Salem, took 1st place on beam with a 9.35, 3rd on vault and bars, 4th on floor and 2nd in the all-around with a score of 36.6.

Emily Jones, of Salem, took first on bars with a 9.475, 4th on beam and 5th in the all-around with a 35.625.
Sydney Chretien, of Salem, coming back from an injury, placed 2nd on beam with a 9.35 and 3rd on bars with a 9.15.
Level 6 - Each of these girls will go on to the state competition
Scarlett Souter, of Windham, took 1st place on floor with a 9.05, 2nd on vault with a 9.1, 4th on bars and came in 3rd in the all-around for her age division.
MacKenzie Svenson, of Salem, took 4th place in the all-around for her age-group with a score of 34.75.
Olivia Faro, of Windham, took fourth place on floor with a 9.1 and won 5th place in the all-around with a score of 34.625.
Elizabeth Aldrich, of Salem, took third on floor, 4th on bars, and 3rd in the all-around for her age division.
Jordan Wakim, of Salem, took 2nd place on floor with a score of 8.975.
Kacie Blanchet, of Salem, earned a spot in the State championship with a total score of 33.35.
