When All Bets Are Down… Local Gymnasts Come Up Winners!
Local girls take top spots at Twin Rivers Casino meet
Lincoln, RI ~ Competing at the Twin Rivers Casino in Rhode Island, gymnasts from Phantom Gymnastics in Hampstead gambled big and came out on top.
Athletes from Windham, Pelham, Salem and Derry scored well on individual events and all-arounds and were a major part of helping their teams take home trophies at the Ocean State Classic meet. The teams took first place for levels 4, 5, and 7 along with 2nd for level 6 and 3rd for level 9 over the weekend of March 3-4.

Level 5
Kasey Hartmann, of Salem, took 1st place on vault (9.0) and floor (9.3). She also placed 2nd on bars with a 9.2 and won first place in the all-around for her age group with a 36.35.
Sydney Chretien, of Salem, was 1st on floor with a 9.175, 2nd on beam with a 9.425 and 2nd in the all-around for her age group with a 36.1.
Emily Jones, of Salem, was 3rd on bars with a 9.15 and 4th in the all-around with a 35.125.
Level 6
MacKenzie Svenson, of Salem, won 2nd place on vault (9.15) and floor. She was 4th on bars and took second place in the all-around with a total of 35.725
Morgan Suech, of Derry, took 3rd on bars with a 9.0, 4th on vault with a 9.1 and 5th on floor. She took 4th place in the all-around for her age group with a 35.55.
Scarlett Souter, of Windham, was 1st on floor with a 9.125, 2nd on vault with a 9.4, and 4th on bars. She took 3rd in the all-around with a 35.425.
Olivia Faro, of Windham, won 1st on floor with a 9.175.
Jordan Wakim, of Salem, took fourth place on floor with a 8.825.
Elizabeth Aldrich, of Salem, earned an 8.75 on vault.
Kacie Blanchet, of Salem, turned in her second personal best score in the all-around for Level 6.
Level 7
Rebecca Heath, of Windham, was first on vault (9.575) and bars (9.7). She took second place on beam (9.1) and floor (9.275). She won the all-around division for her age group with a 37.65.
Gabriella Palermo, of Salem, was 2nd on floor with a 9.225 and 3rd on beam with a 9.4 She took second place in the all-around with a total score of 36.425.
Olivia Champagne, of Salem, took 2nd on bars (9.225) and on beam (9.425). She was 4th in the all-around for her age group with a total score of 36.65.
Sydney Bartlett, of Salem, took 1st on vault (9.55) and on floor (9.3). She was 3rd in the all-around with a score of 36.7.
Level 8
Ali Otis, of Windham, placed 1st on beam with a 9.1, and 3rd on floor with a 9.0.
Level 9
Sara Fisher, of Pelham, took 2nd place on beam with an 8.65, and 4th on vault (8.9) and floor (9.075). She was 4th in the all-around with a 33.825.
Phantom Gymnastics is a highly competitive gymnastics program located on Route 111 in Hampstead and draws gymnasts from across Southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts.
