WTC Seeks Volunteers for Town Audit Review Committee
The WTC will form a Committee to review the Town's Annual Audit and then provide comments to the public and the Windham Board of Selectmen.

The Windham Taxpayers Coalition (WTC) will form a Committee to review the Town’s Annual Audit that will be published in August. WTC Board Member Bruce Breton will serve as Chairman of this committee, which will review the audit and then provide comments to the public and the Windham Board of Selectmen.
The importance of the audit is defined in NH RSA 41:31-1;
“Financial audits play a fundamentally vital role in helping to preserve the integrity of the public finance functions and by maintaining citizens' confidence in their elected leaders. Properly performed audits provide independent assurance that financial information presented is reliable.”
After many years with the same auditing firm, the Windham Board of Selectmen recently chose a new firm, reasoning that a fresh set of eyes would provide additional integrity to town spending practices.
With the new firm performing the audit, Mr. Breton anticipates a comprehensive report. The WTC Committee will review the audit report during a series of bi-weekly meetings the will begin at the end of August. If you would like more information and/or would like to participate as a member of the committee, please send an email to info@WindhamTaxpayers.org, or call Ken Eyring at 603-434-4836.
The Windham Taxpayers Coalition is a Citizen’s oversight group that monitors the spending of Windham’s local tax dollars. The group studies town and school issues that have high tax impact consequences, provides facts to the community regarding those issues, and seeks to provide sound, cost effective solutions by working with the community and our local elected representatives.
